Once upon a time as happy ckooks grzed in the meadow and the winemaker's vintage was complete, the chef stoked the wood fire for the roaast chickens with truffles and settled down with the farmer and the winemaker to wait for their guests. At Ellender Estate, Monsieur Pierre and Yapanya Meadow Grazed Chickens invite you to be part of the story for lunch on June 23rd or Sunday 24th of June.

"Hands on" pizza making provides the experience of creating your own dough and constructing your own individual pizzas from regional produce. Place your creation in the wood-fired oven, watch it cook to perfection. Savour the moment whilst tasting Estate wines.
Discover the history and evolution of the pizza from antiquity to the modern day, and appreciate how coupled with the mystique and history of the wood-fired oven a gastronomic phenomenon has been created.

Wine like a painting arouses the senses – not only composition, balance, colour, texture but also aroma, flavour and a harmony with foods and the occasion.
Wine is an expression of the humble grape with unique attributes from the region - revealing hidden aromas and textures when fermented and aged.
At Ellender Estate we invite you to build up an understanding of wine.
In a small group interaction, the sensation of wine is explored and factors influencing wine such as lighting, glass style and temperature are considered. The session lasts approximately an hour and a half and concludes with a cheese platter, wine tasting and talk!.
